Oh, It Seems Like I Have Nothing To Do. :-(

Heather is going away for 2 days to visit her friend, Tori. I feel so left out in my family. Mommy and Daddy got a new mattress, and gave Colin their old one. I got nothing. (except a good visit from Nana and Grandad, but still, Colin got a visit too, so it's still not fair!!) Anyway, I have nothing to do. :-(

    Oh, I'm sorry you feel left out. It feels bad, but it doesn't mean you're not special. Sometimes things just aren't always even. Your mattress is much better than Colin's old one -- that's why I like sleeping in your room! Plus, you've got so many great books. :-)

    You should be getting a package from me soon. And it has goodies for you and Colin.

    If you look at just one day, often it seems unfair. But we all get about the same in the end, so my way of dealing with it is to focus on the positive things. You have more fun that way. And you can always invent your own benefits, like sewing yourself a new pillowcase, or giving yourself a room "makeover", or planting your own new patch of seeds, or taking down your old artwork and putting up new things as you make them at school. (The last idea is what I've done at our house. Took down all the art that had been up for months -- new things are coming in from our new classrooms! But in the meantime, it looks so fresh, clean and neat with nothing cluttering the walls)

    Anna...It's OK...See i'm back now so we can play AND talk AND hang out as mutch as you whant and just becuse you did'ent get something it dos'ent mean they dont love you...It is a mattress and Colin has'ent gotten to have a lot of thing's like that considering how old he is...Mabey if you whant a new mattress you can ask for one...Mabey they only gave it to Colin becuse it fit his bed and your's was too small?...-Heather
